Working with Interpreters: Enhancing Communications with Individuals Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing

This webinar will help participants distinguish between interpreter qualifications, certifications, and specializations to ensure quality and appropriate language access delivery. Presenters will discuss interpreter codes of conduct and the roles of interpreters. They will highlight the importance of confidentiality, impartiality, and accuracy. Participants will gain practical strategies for working with interpreters and improving working relationships as well as what to do when an interpreter is not available.
