Dr. Neil Websdale provides an overview of the philosophy and process of domestic violence fatality review as well as new developments in the field. He will explore emerging issues and the practical benefits of engaging in reviews.
PRESENTER INFORMATION
Professor Neil Websdale is the Director of the Family Violence Institute at Northern Arizona University and Director of the National Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative (NDVFRI). His social policy work involves helping establish networks of domestic violence fatality review teams across the United States and elsewhere. He has also worked on issues related to community policing, full faith and credit, and risk assessment and management in domestic violence cases. Dr. Websdale trained as a sociologist at the University of London, England and currently lives and works in Flagstaff, Arizona.
