Description: Join the Victim Rights Law Center and El Programa Hispano Católico for this interactive webinar on safety planning with survivors of non-intimate partner sexual assault. Designed specifically for legal advocates, the webinar will explore the differences between safety planning with victims of non-intimate partner sexual assault and domestic violence. The presenters will review common safety issues that arise in various areas of survivors’ lives (e.g., at home, in school, at work, etc.) and discuss potential remedies, highlight key considerations when working with survivors from underserved and otherwise marginalized communities, and provide practical examples and tools for crafting an effective safety plan. Note: This webinar is for non-attorney legal advocates at community-based organizations that receive — or are eligible to receive — funding through the Office on Violence Against Women.
