Project Catalyst II: Training of Trainers

Description: There is substantial research describing the dynamics and effects of intimate partner violence (IPV) and human trafficking (HT) and related co-morbid health and behavioral health outcomes for survivors. Health center staff are in a unique position to initiate conversations with their patients about healthy relationships and violence, offer universal education on the health impact of IPV/HT and promote harm reduction strategies. Building local partnerships with domestic violence or community-based programs will help facilitate warm bi-directional referrals, and promote the short- and long-term safety needs of patients.
