Content: The Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women (LRC) will be offering a webinar training for attorneys on emerging interstate legal issues. The training will build upon the foundation established by the LRC’s previous training programs which provided participants with an overview of the various federal and state laws that govern interstate custody cases. Among other topics, the LRC will address the following: strategies for advising clients who are contemplating leaving a jurisdiction with their children; the relationship between civil protection orders that include custody provisions and custody orders that have been issued as part of a custody or divorce case; personal jurisdiction; and recent and emerging trends. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions during the presentation.
