Description: These webinars will introduce Pathways to Accountability, an approach that enhances the safety and wellbeing of adult and child survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) by working with fathers who have abused them. The approach is based on three fundamental ideas: Fathers (and other people) who have used IPV can be held accountable and supported to change simultaneously; accountability can be achieved both through systems and personal relationships; and fatherhood can be a powerful motivator for behavior change in people who use violence. Presenters will share practical strategies and tools to safely engage fathers in supervised visitation. ObjectivesBy the end of the webinars, participants will be better able to: Make the connection between working with abusive fathers and enhancing the safety adult and child survivors. Engage men who use IPV using fatherhood as a leading motivator. Adopt strategies and tools for engaging abusive fathers in changing their behavior.
