Description: In this webinar, the presenters will examine the ways in which sex and labor trafficking may intersect, emphasizing the complex nature of human exploitation.  They will delve into practical and nuanced applications of a 'trauma-informed approach' to patient care. The presenters will highlight operationalizing theoretical concepts while drawing on human rights and victim-centered strategies as applied to the healthcare setting.  Specific challenging situations will be discussed, including how clinicians can recognize and manage their own biases, and options for responding to discrimination and stigma exhibited by others in the workplace.
