Description: Since 2009, AEquitas has been helping prosecutors across the country better keep victims safe and hold offenders accountable. Named after the Roman goddess of equity and fairness, AEquitas was established to support prosecutors in their individual and collective efforts to achieve justice in intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. The 2022 Champions for Justice Relay Marathon is a totally virtual event, and all proceeds go to AEquitas' work to bring survivor-centered justice and safety to victims of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking. AEquitas "helps the helpers" in our justice system— providing critical trainings, offering individualized consultations, and developing robust publications highlighting innovative strategies for prosecutors and others who respond to these crimes.
