Description: Technology increasingly affects our lives and has a significant impact on survivors. Emerging technologies and how abusers misuse technology poses a challenge for victim safety, privacy, and confidentiality. This training will look at how perpetrators misuse technology as another tool to stalk, abuse, and further control victims. We will also identify strategies for basic safety planning around technology risks and privacy while focusing on how to empower survivors around tech.

Description: This 90-minute webinar will present five research-based protective factors that illustrate opportunities for prevention and early intervention with families impacted by co-occurring domestic violence and child maltreatment. In this webinar, Dr. Tien Ung and Mie Fukuda will present new resources, including an issue brief and practice tips on protective factors for survivors.
This webinar is intended to help attendees:
1. Explain the science of resilience
2. Describe five protective factors that reduce the negative impacts of domestic violence on adult and child survivors of domestic violence and promote their healthy development and well-being
3. Strengthen systems of care to incorporate protective factors for survivors
