This training series is aimed at managers, supervisors, and directors of gender-based violence organizations, and participants are asked to commit to attending all sessions.

Description: Presented by: Leslie Myers, Senior Program Associate, VERA Center for Victimization and Safety and the National Clearinghouse on Abuse in Later Life (NCALL) This webinar is created for multidisciplinary professionals that serve older adults. The goal is for attendees to increase their awareness of the issues related to the abuse of older adults with disabilities and obtain an indepth understanding of the risk factors for abuse, tactics utilized by abusers, barriers faced by older adults with a disability, and protective factors that reduce risk of abuse. Facilitators of the webinar will dispel myths about older adults living with disabilities and focus on common risk factors like guardianships and Power of Attorney relationships. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions related to the topic.
