Description: The Guam Coalition is accepting applications for interpreters to participate in GCASAFV's Community Advocate Training for Interpreters. This training will be conducted by the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender Based Violence (API-GVB) to improve one's skills of interpretation services. Those seelcted to participate will receive a stipend upon completion of the 5-day training. Deadline to apply is Friday, February 4, 2022. Description: Most professionals who respond to sexual assault crimes are familiar with the concept of a medical forensic examination (MFE). This presentation will discuss the benefits and limitations of those examinations. Particular focus will highlight what law enforcement needs to know to encourage and educate victims on the benefits of an exam as well as how exam findings may impact criminal justice needs such as investigation and prosecution.
