What are the critical childhood and adolescent experiences that are associated with domestic violence perpetration later on? How are these experiences shaped by the cultural and social environment in which we live? How can a life course framework help break the cycle of intergenerational violence once and for all?

The root causes of domestic violence are many and complex-existing at the individual, family, community, and societal levels. Blue Shield of California Foundation is releasing a groundbreaking meta-analysis that identifies the timing and sequence of childhood and adolescent events and experiences that are strongly associated with perpetration of domestic violence as adults. This life course analysis identifies both key risk factors and opportunities to prevent violence from occurring in the first place.

Join Blue Shield for this webinar to learn more about the findings from the meta-analysis, including the critical periods in a young person's life and the specific risk factors that are associated with later perpetration. Hear from the Forward Change researcher, the Breaking the Cycle program officer and two leaders from the domestic violence field.
