This webinar is designed for prosecutors, law enforcement officers, and victim advocates working in law enforcement and prosecution agencies who would like to learn up-to-date information on the provision of language access.
Presenters will provide information about legal obligations to provide language access to limited English speaking victims of domestic and sexual violence. Expert faculty will cover language access requirements under Title VI, as well provide examples of ways prosecutors, law enforcement, and victim advocates working in law enforcement and prosecution agencies can take to improve language access for limited English proficient (LEP) survivors. The webinar will provide tips, tools, and best practices for working with LEP domestic and sexual violence victims, implementing language access plans, community policing, and building trust with LEP communities.
