20th Annual International Family Justice Center Conference
Description: The 20th Annual International Family Justice Center Conference will host a unique and powerful convening of professionals working in the fields of DV, child abuse, SA, and elder abuse in San Diego, CA on September 9-11, 2020 (stateside). The International Family Justice Center Conference will address what trauma-informed practices look like in child abuse, sexual assault, elder abuse, human trafficking, and domestic violence for various professionals. The Office on Violence Against Women will host two tracks including “Effective Handling of Non-Fatal Strangulation Cases” and “Expanding Family Justice and Multi-Agency Centers.” The U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime will sponsor a track on “Working at the Intersections of Co-Occurring Trauma (Polyvictimization)” which will focus on the impact of trauma and the challenges working with polyvictims.
