The Use of Technology to Stalk
Stalkers are creative criminals who use – and misuse – a variety of technologies to locate, surveil and monitor their victims. This session will address common technologies utilized by stalkers, discuss evidence preservation concerns as well as identify effective safety- planning strategies.
Coordinating the Response to Stalking
Keeping victims safe and holding offenders accountable requires that diverse professionals— including (but not limited to) victim advocates, law enforcement, prosecutors, educators and others—view their work through a “stalking lens”, take pro-active steps to incorporate a stalking response into their roles and work together. This session will provide practical strategies for building stalking into a coordinated community response.
