Description:  The majority of people incarcerated in women’s jails and prisons have experienced gender-based violence, yet incarcerated survivors are often overlooked or excluded from the crucial support of community-based advocates. This webinar will focus on identifying and strategizing ways to address common concerns and barriers to working with survivors in custody to better support incarcerated survivors. Join us to learn from Alexandra Chambers, a consultant for BWJP and a founding member of Free Hearts, an organization led by formerly incarcerated women that organizes families impacted by incarceration in Tennessee.
