Description: The National Violence Against Women Law Enforcement Training and Technical Assistance Consortium (LETTAC) invites you to join the LETTAC Webinar Series: Human Trafficking and Intimate Partner Violence: Intersectionality, Trauma-Informed Investigation, Victim Identification, and Multidisciplinary Collaboration. Why this lens on human trafficking? Because there is a marked overlap in the pattern of behaviors that both DVSA abusers and traffickers use to exert power and control over a victim. In session 1, "Intersectionality and the Importance of a Multidisciplinary Approach," your trainers—Chief David Ryan (retired) and licensed mental health counselor Courtney W. Albert—will share their first-hand knowledge; outline the fundamentals of these overlapping crimes; and underscore why it’s important to partner law enforcement and advocates at the earliest stages. There is no fee to attend. Immediate questions are welcomed at Contact@LETTAC.org. We look forward to your participation!
