Description: The Victim Rights Law Center is delighted to host experts Angelita Olowu, BSN, RN, SANE-A., SANE-P of the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) and Susan Chasson, JD, MSN, SANE-A, Statewide SANE program manager for the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault. The expert presenters will identify the various ways a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) or Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) can contribute to a civil or criminal case, how they can educate the fact-triers through their testimony, and provide tip for partnering effectively with a SANE/SAFE as your expert witness.

Focus on offenders’ use of technology, including the use of sexually explicit images of minors (child pornography) in grooming and manipulation. Discuss a variety of technology that can be used by investigators.
