With tax season in full swing, the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP), and UnidosUS invite tax practitioners, community-based organizations, constituent services staff, and low-income tax payer clinics to join us on a webinar that will provide an overview of the current tax environment and how provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs bill that take effect this filing season, such as the new Social Security Number (SSN) requirement for children to be claimed for the Child Tax Credit, might impact immigrant families. The webinar will also provide updates on concerns about confidentiality of personal tax information for immigrants, (Individual Tax Payer Identification Number) ITIN renewals, and other issues facing immigrant tax filers.
